
LINDSAY LEE – Founder & Managing Partner
Lindsay has been a technology investor for nearly 20 years and has developed a strong network in Silicon Valley over the last two decades. Lindsay started his career at Merrill Lynch. Immediately following graduate school at Stanford, he co-founded a financial services software company. He subsequently served as CIO for an investment management firm he helped to grow to almost $1Bn. He then started a small direct investment fund that invested primarily in public technology companies. Prior to starting Authentic, Lindsay managed a family office where he built a highly successful Seed and early stage portfolio. He led early stage investments in Applovin (APP), Guardant Health (GH), Apartment List, Cambly and several other successful investments. Lindsay received his BA in Economics (Phi Beta Kappa) from the University of Florida where he was awarded Outstanding Male Graduate. He received his MBA and JD degrees from Stanford University.

Robin Bordoli – Partner
Robin has over 30 years of experience as a CEO, operator, and investor in the technology industry. He started his career at McKinsey & Company in London and then joined his first startup Micromuse which subsequently IPO’d and was acquired by IBM. Following graduate school at Stanford he launched international JVs for the broadband pioneer @Home Network in Australia and Japan. He then invested in startups as a Principal at Softbank Venture Capital. He held senior leadership positions at Jive Software and Marketo before and during their IPOs. He was CEO at Figure Eight where he led 10x revenue growth and a successful nine figure exit to Appen. Most recently he was CEO at NextRoll where he grew a startup business unit 4x and managed a $200MM global business. Robin received his BA and MEng in Engineering from the University of Cambridge where he was the Rolls Royce scholar, and his MBA degree from Stanford University where he was an Arjay Miller scholar.

Justus Luttig – Associate
Justus joined Authentic in 2021 as an investment associate. Prior to joining the firm, Justus led the investment team at a family office focused on growth investing. He began his career at J.P. Morgan on the Technology Investment Banking team in New York, where he advised companies on mergers & acquisitions, capital raises and debt related activities. Justus later joined J.P. Morgan’s Venture Capital arm where he invested in early stage technology businesses, including Toast, Greenlight Financial, Trovata, and Cloud9. Here he was a board observer at Trovata. Previously, Justus also co-founded ThreeDots, a consumer goods brand in the beverage sector. Justus received his B.Comm. and Masters degrees in Finance and Accounting from Stellenbosch University (South Africa) and his MBA degree from NYU Stern School of Business.

Amel Abdelwahid – Director of Finance And Chief Compliance Officer
Prior to joining the firm, Amel was an accounting manager at Kranz Consulting, where she provided accounting and consulting services to numerous early-stage venture capital funds and managed the quarterly and annual financial reporting process, working alongside external service providers. Previously, she had alternative investment experience working on private equity and venture capital clients at other fund administrators. Amel began her career at PwC, as an auditor in the asset management and financial services practice, specializing in the audits of mutual funds, private equity, and venture capital clients. Amel graduated with a BS in Business Administration, Accounting from the University of Colorado, Denver and with an MS in Accountancy from Regis University and is an active CPA in Colorado.

Marylee Thexton – Executive Team Support
Marylee Thexton serves as executive support for the Firm. Prior to joining Authentic Ventures, Marylee’s professional background included various Senior Management positions at CGI Inc., a Canadian Information Technology Consulting Company, as well as Bell Sygma and Bell Canada. With a career in the telecommunications and technology sectors spanning a period of 20 years, Marylee has extensive experience in business and operational management.

MICHAEL NICHOLS, DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS AND CHIEF COMPLIANCE OFFICER
Michael has served startup and other clients as an attorney and operations lead for 20 years. He has worked at leading international law firms, including Morrison and Foerster, and has served as General Counsel and in-house counsel at startup companies funded by VC firms including Khosla Ventures and the Mayfield Fund.
Michael holds a J.D. from the Yale Law School and A.B. (Honors) and M.A. degrees from Stanford University.
